Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan has a new favourite restaurant
And a patented scowl
Aryan Khan, heir to the Shah Rukh Khan fortune and jawline, made his first red carpet appearance as a bonafide celebrity over the weekend. The 19-year-old Bollywood scion brought his now-trademark scowl to the opening of Mumbai bar and bistro, No Vacancy, guaranteeing the new eatery a steady clientele of teenage girls and celebrity chasers in its opening week.
Aryan Khan can barely contain his excitement at being invited to the No Vacancy launch
Dressed casually in a denim hoodie and insouciance, Aryan was herded into the bar where he joined friend Ahaan Panday, social media star and Chunky Pandey’s nephew, who could easily take down Tyra Banks in a smize-off.
Ahaan Pandey is 100% smize
Given that Aryan Khan’s not-so-distant future involves a major Bollywood debut and a facewash commercial, his weekend shenanigans mark the beginning of his reign as an independent celebrity in the Khan establishment. But the Shah Rukh mini-me still has some major catching up to do if he’s to compete with the over-achieving likes of Blue Ivy Carter.
Celebrity kids who already have major careers
Not only has Johnny Depp and Vanessa Pardis’ 17-year-old daughter starred in Chanel’s campaigns, she even closed its Spring 2017 Haute Couture show. Aside from this, she made her acting debut at Sundance in 2016 with a movie called Yoga Hosers after which she starred in the period drama Planetarium with Natalie Portman.
Romeo Beckham added to the family’s collective net worth of over $500 million by becoming a model at the age of 10. Back in 2013, he was signed on to appear in a campaign for Burberry and continued to model for them until Christmas 2015. Though he had a quieter 2016 than his siblings (as quiet as a celebrity kid’s life can be), it was reported that he was joining tennis players Andy Murray and Nick Kyrgios in training.
Can you remember a world where Instagram videos of beauty vloggers swatching the latest Kylie Lip Kit or unboxing the holiday collection didn’t exist? Because we can’t. Kylie Jenner launched her empire, that has helped her amass a net worth of over $10 million, in 2016 after the wildly successful global launch of her lip kit. She has moved on from lip kits to eye shadows (Kyshadows, of course) and eye liners (Kyliners). What’s next? Kylighters?
Reportedly, Beyoncé and co. sought to trademark Blue Ivy’s name to start a company that manufactures cosmetics and hair care essentials, and produces films and live events (including musical performances). While there hasn’t been any further information about the company, a report did suggest that the products are aimed at children.
When Anurag Kashyap's daughter Aaliyah Kashyap is not hanging out with BFF Khushi Kapoor (that’s Sridevi’s daughter, in case you didn’t know) and making short films for her school, she is using her massive social media following to promote brands and products. At the age when you were trying to win at puberty, she landed herself a full-time modelling contract for online fashion portal, Aavantam.
