Life is looking up for Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput Kapoor, who are now parents to a baby boy, born on September 5 in Mumbai. According to reports, Mira was rushed to Hinduja hospital in the city late evening on Wednesday. Her mother, Bela Rajput, and Shahid’s mother, Neelima Azim, were also present.
The birth of a boy is great news for the Kapoor family as two-year-old Misha now has a younger brother.

The couple, who had an arranged marriage in 2015, announced the news that they were expecting another baby, in April.

Shahid is currently busy promoting his upcoming movie Batti Gul Meter Chalu, and the actor confesses that he’s unable to take off time for his new-born. “During Misha’s birth [in 2016], I took a couple of months off. This time too, I was negotiating to take a month-long break, but things didn’t work out. I will get only a week off from work. It is too short a duration, but such are the circumstances,” he said in an interview.
