Singapore Airlines launches Premium Economy
Lots of legroom, delicious food, HD TV and champagne on board
Dreading your next long-haul flight? Do yourself a favour and upgrade. Options like the recently launched Singapore Airlines Premium Economy let you settle in, stretch out and rest, so you can arrive without any traces of flight fatigue.
Available on flights in the Mumbai and Delhi routes, each Premium Economy seat comes with a calf and footrest so you can recline comfortably and, if you can bear to ignore the HD entertainment unit, get some work done. The noise-cancelling headphones, two USB ports and extra storage for your laptop etc, all conspire to make your seat a cosy workspace. Or do as we would do and binge-watch Veep with a glass of champagne. Not a bad way to spend a few hours.
Mealtimes are a happier proposition too, with the option to ‘Book a Cook’. Order meals like the Rosemary Beef Brisket or the pancakes. And since you’re treating yourself, crack open that box of Häagen-Dazs and chart your own route to mile-high bliss.
