Newly-weds Masaba Gupta and her partner Madhu Mantena – who had a fairly un-fussy court marriage – are all set to celebrate this weekend with their friends and family in Mumbai. The three-day affair will see sisters Alia and Shaheen Bhatt perform at their sangeet too. The celebrations will end with a star-studded reception on Sunday.
Keeping the entire affair simple and classy, Gupta plans to wear one of her own designs for the bridal shower. It’s a cool black-and-white polka-dotted outfit, with a ruffled crop top and a high-low skirt. For the sangeet, the designer has decided to go with Raw Mango and for the reception she’ll be seen in Anamika Khanna.
Gupta even went so far as to design her own invitation cards. She gave cookie cutter cards a miss, and went with playful graphics and caricatures instead. She even sent out playing cards as thoughtful little keepsakes. Sweet!
