Snoop Dogg turns sock designer

When Snoop Dogg isn’t otherwise occupied, changing his name to Snoop Lion and Snoopzilla, the rapper is busy designing socks.

The Doggfather has teamed up with Swedish brand, Happy Socks, to launch The Art of Inspiration collection by November this year. A quick look at the video above makes it clear that the collaboration will be all kinds of crazy – Snoop Dog style. The rapper uses squirt guns and tennis balls rolled in colour to paint, as he talks about his desire to express himself through more than just music.

Happy Socks is known for its colourful designs and for collaborations with the likes of photographer Terry Richardson, Manish Arora and Giles Deacon. After noticing the rapper wearing their socks, the brand expressed their desire to work with him.

“He has inspired many with his music and it will be incredibly interesting to see how his art will impact the world and what new boundaries he will push,” said Viktor Tell, creative director of Happy Socks, of the decision.

Snoop Dog x Happy Socks collection will be available from November.
