Sonam Kapoor has always been one for female empowerment. The newly wed actress has never shied away from talking about sexism and inequality in Bollywood, discussing the gender wage gap amongst other issues. She even wrote an essay about what being a feminist means to her. It would seem that it’s that same quality in her husband Anand Ahuja that Sonam also found admirable.
While the two have always been labeled as a stylish couple, it would appear they share other passions and opinions as well. After the wedding celebration reached a close, Sonam’s cousin Anshula Kapoor posted a picture of the younger women of the Kapoor family being photobombed by the groom.
The photo has Rhea Kapoor, Aashita Relan Marwah, Jahnvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, Anshula and Antara Motiwala Marwah in the back, with their new brother-in-law making the ladies laugh up front.

To which Anand Ahuja replied: hahaha. Love it!! And love that I have so many smart, beautiful, strong sisters now that I admire and look up to.
Empowering words from the new groom. Smart, beautiful and strong women indeed. He could have simply thanked them or left his compliment at ‘beautiful’. But the fact that he mentions he admires his new in-laws as well as looks up to them for their intelligence and strength is not what you see every day on such a public platform.
