Sonam Kapoor’s secret to maintaining her svelte figure during Diwali
Plus, two beauty trends you need to try
The festive season is almost upon us, and we’re sure you’re already craving those delectable ladoos and kaju barfi. Or, if you prefer savoury dishes, then you have Sonam Kapoor to give you company. The actress openly professes her love for chaat, calling it her “absolute weakness.” And though we don’t have any qualms about eating — rather, devouring — sweet or savoury food, it’s the fact that we tend to let ourselves go and binge-eat that actually worries us. As the old adage goes, once on the lips, forever on the hips.
Fortunately for us, Kapoor has figured out a way to beat the weighing scale, proving that balance is key. “My diet usually tends to remain the same. I work towards eating every two hours and my meals are well balanced with protein, vegetables and carbohydrates.” However, if she does end up giving into temptation and gorging on festive food, then she ensures her workout makes up for it. “The next day, I make sure that I do an extra 15 minutes of my daily workout regimen, which includes pilates, yoga and functional training,” she says.
Looking good is as important as eating healthy, and Sonam has two beauty trends that she insists you must try this festive season. “Lip contouring is the best way to enhance your natural shape and make your lips look fuller. L’Oréal Paris Infallible Lip Paints have a great mix of mattes and lacquers which you can use for that perfect pout,” she says. Another trend to try is layering multiple colours on the eyelids. “Mix and match to create a different look that will surely make you stand out in a crowd.”
