Style, sass…bananas!

These pitchy little smart-asses have already inspired designers from America to South Korea, with their sass and cheery hue. The Minions Bello Yellow Collection was out in Selfridges following the releasing of the latest film, and featured designs by Giles Deacon, milliner Piers Atkinson and shoe designer Rupert Sanderson. And that yellow is now officially part of the Pantone shade card. It’s described as: “…a color that heightens awareness and creates clarity…the color of hope, joy and optimism.”

Establishing their style dominance once and for all is a recent line of illustrations that imagines the yellow thumb-like critters as icons of the fashion world. Stylight, a site that curates designs by trends, labels etc, presents the Minionistas. The most recognizable details are all there—Delevigne’s fierce eyebrows, Lagerfeld’s silver ponytail, Wintour’s uncannily symmetrical bob, Menkes’s quirky quiff and so on. It’s all the divas you know so well, but cuter than you’ve ever seen them.
