Handmade jewellery by Tallin fuses traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design

Who: Akshat Ghiya founded Tallin in 2016, with a rich knowledge of gemstones acquired via his family. He now interprets it through his brand’s signature designs—stunning custom-cut precious and semi-precious stones. The Jaipur-based designer’s artistic aptitude lies in marrying traditional techniques with modern aesthetics to create handmade jewellery that’s “a collaboration between the piece and the wearer”.

What: Tallin spills magic in candy colours from its atelier in the Pink City. Its handmade fine jewellery is as much fun to wear as it is worthy of being a family heirloom. Bubblegum-pink rings, emerald drop necklaces, and iridescent diamond rose baubles feature amongst its motley collection. There is a millennial energy to the pieces, a lighter sensibility which Akshat says comes from “a playful mix of traditional, Indian, contemporary, and European aesthetics”.

Wear: The jewellery works just as well on you sitting at the head of the boardroom as it does walking into your best friend’s wedding reception. And that comes as no surprise since Tallin aims to “remain focused on new ways to create designs that stand out, that are comfortable to wear and move with the body”.
