1. Sharp Edges
Sania Maskatiya’s collection was the simplest and arguably the strongest of the week. The Ori collection was inspired by the Japanese art of folding paper. The design house used fabric manipulation techniques to create paper like textures on structured silhouettes.
2. Silver Lining
Silver was the hottest colour on the Karachi ramp this season. Almost every major designer employed it. Our favourites? An electric Nida Azwer sequinned tunic, paired with gold culottes, a crochet choli and skirt by Delphi, a long dress and pants number with delicate scalloped embroidery by designer Faraz Mannan, and a Zaheer Abbas bridal ensemble with purple accents.

3. Powder Room
Pale pinks and powder blues ruled at designer Nida Azwer’s show who created looks right out of a fairy-tale.
4. Show Stoppers
On-screen couple took to the ramp. Hunky actor Osman Khalid Butt and Maya Ali were showstoppers for designer Wardha Saleem.
Zeb Bangash – one half of Zeb and Haniya – and her silvery vocals during Saleem’s colourful show left the audience spellbound.
5. The Statement Sari
Faraz Manan’s twist on the traditional sari included cropped pants and a waist cinching belt.
6. The Statement Jacket
Traditional gold and silver gota was twisted to create sartorial magic.
