Unimpressed with what's new on TV? Find out which of your faves are returning this season

True Detective
Returns: Summer, 2015
Where we left off: The first season of HBO’s True Detective revolutionized the way TV does creepy. The anthology will return to tell a new murder story. Ben Caspar, a corrupt manager of a fictional Californian city is found on a lonely stretch of Pacific Coast highway with satanic symbols etched on his chest. With the first two episodes being directed by Fast and Furious 6 director, Justin Lin, the plot will center around three police officers, Ray Velcoro (Colin Farrell), Frank Semyon (Vince Vaughn) and Ani Bezzerides (Rachel McAdams).

Mad Men
Returns: April 5, 2015
Where we left off: AMC has always been on point about when and where their beloved dramas should fold (cue: the sound of heartbreak from the end of Breaking Bad). But like all good things, Mad Men has reached its end. The seventh season, split into two segments of seven episodes each saw Don and Megan’s divorce; Bert Cooper’s untimely demise and the evolution of a very sassy Sally Drapper. We’re looking to see if the next seven episodes will bring a satisfying end to the series and of course, answer all those burning questions about Peggy’s future.

Halt And Catch Fire
Returns: Summer, 2015
Where we left off: After much debate and anticipation, AMC decided to renew techy-drama Halt And Catch Fire. The season one finale left fans with many questions - the biggest one may be what will happen with Joe (visionary, engineer and prodigy who risks everything to build a computer that can change the future) in the new episodes. In the finale, Joe disappeared yet again, taking off to do some soul searching in Colorado after burning a truck of the Cardiff Giants. Joe was seeking out a loner woman in the Colorado wilderness and last we saw of the character he was on his way to see her. Could this woman be Joe’s mother? And what will happen between him and Carmen who’s upset with him for abandoning her? So many questions, so little time!

Game Of Thrones
Returns: April 12, 2015
Where we left off: After a power packed season 4 finale, the show will return to answer some questions about Daenerys (the mother of dragons, in case you forgot) and her arsonist dragons (who burned down a villager’s child), Bran’s journey to the north and his subsequent meeting with the three-eyed-raven and Tyrion’s life after he murdered his father, Tywin and (girlfriend/lover/whore?) Shae. Yes, there’s a lot to look forward to.
