The hottest Indian web series to watch this summer
Drop the remote and get to these immediately

Sinskaari
If you’ve ever lost the battle with your mother for the TV remote during an Alok Nath serial or shared a Babuji meme, this is a must watch. The religious and respectable patriarch, once a fountain of holy-holies is now hosting an adult chat show, quizzing people about their sex lives and bedroom fantasies.
It has you in splits from the moment he struggles with the pronunciation of “masturbate”, to his interview with TV's notorious twins Raghu Ram and Rajiv Lakshman in the first episode. The winning quality of this show is easily Alok Nath’s ease with self-deprecating humour.
You can catch Sinskaari on Voot.

Behind The News
Behind The News satirises the stereotypical Indian newsroom. No longer than ten minutes each, the episodes feature a passionate yet sensible journalist caught between a corrupt, Goswamiesque editor, a clueless, apathetic minion and a vacuous marketing rep.
Behind The News stars Anuvab Pal, Lekha Washington, Mukul Chadda, Kunaal Roy Kapur and Gopal Datt. You can catch both episodes on TVF Play.

I Don’t Watch TV
The trailer opens with a spoof rating screen that says “The following preview has been approved for inappropriate audiences”. That’s when you know you’ll love it.

Smartly written and savagely witty, the three-episode old web series features popular TV actors such as Nakuul Mehta (who is also the producer), Drashti Dhami, Karan Patel, Rithvik Dhanjani, Kritika Kamra and many more. Chase - A Series Of New-Age Documentaries
With the urgency of a potboiler and the strangeness of truth, Chase - A Series Of New-Age Documentaries feeds a hunger the internet has suffered for high-quality storytelling that is both relevant and engrossing.
The first episode, titled ‘Demonic Possession: An Inside Story’ follows award-winning journalist Manisha Pande around North India as she investigates mental illness that leads men and women to believe they are possessed by evil spirits. Jointly produced by Newslaundry and ScoopWhoop, Chase released in early May. The second episode explores how the IPL feeds the country's bookie trade.
