Delhi-based The Kimono Club makes you recall cult films like Memoirs of a Geisha (2015) and Wong Kar-wai’s In the Mood for Love (2000). The interiors bring out an unlikely marriage between old-school glamour and a new-age set up complete with swanky disco balls along with hip music.
The swanky interiors
Perhaps this is the reason why you’ve already seen the place create a buzz on Instagram after its much talked-about debut. But a visit to the night club makes you realise that it really is the hottest spot in town to eat and drink your heart away. On entering the restaurant, which is situated in The Chanakya, you’ll be welcomed by its neon interiors. The trendy interiors are designed by the multi-hyphenate artist Freddy Birdy. What’s more? It has a massive whiskey bar, a modern wine wall and opulent chandeliers.

So you can indulge in the menu designed by celebrated chef Vikramjit Roy. The Kimono Club also has a live dim sum station, modern Japanese and Chinese delicacies, and a salad bar. Some of the signature dishes include wagarashi prawns almond wasabi, duck carpaccio yuzu soy, lobster and truffle dumpling in addition to selections that are made with caviar, oysters, lobster and duck. Most of the delicacies are steamed, stir-fried or baked which doesn’t make you feel guilty for indulging in the exquisite food (your visit to the gym hasn’t completely gone to waste).
