Behind every mother is a group of other mothers who always have each other’s backs. As much as we like to think of our mum as having everything figured out, the truth is that even they need someone to lean on for advice or recommendations. This is where The Mommy Network comes to the rescue. Having started out in 2014 with just a few mothers sharing information and suggestions among each other on a Facebook group, The Mommy Network is now a budding digital community of over 10,000 mothers. Its annual retail event called the Mommy Network Pop-Up, unites over 120 children’s brands from across the world, along with providing a supportive offline environment for its thriving community.

This year’s edition is all set to take place this weekend, on October 5, at Kamala Mills in Mumbai. An exciting highlight of the event this year is the inauguration of the Freedom To Feed booth by new mom and Bollywood actor, Neha Dhupia. This one-of-a-kind initiative gives mothers the freedom to breastfeed their babies in peace and comfort, at the pop-up. Not only does this encourage mothers to breastfeed in public, it also takes a step towards breaking the stigma that often surrounds the issue.

The Mommy Network Pop-Up officially kicked off with an engaging panel discussion on September 27, featuring Naiyya Saggi, Founder and CEO of BabyChakra, producer and actor Pragya Kapoor (seen in Kedarnath), Soha Ali Khan, Dr Zirak Marker, a renowned psychiatrist and psychotherapist. Keen mothers in the audience were given the chance to have their questions answered, while taking away interesting insights from the panelists’ stories relating to child-birth and breastfeeding.
