Toast is already an Internet sensation. She is the pampered offspring of Instagram funnyman The Fat Jewish, but she is a star in her own right. This King Charles Spaniel was rescued from a puppy mill. These barbaric places exist to make money off expensive and in-demand dog breeds. The dogs are kept in pitiable conditions, subjected to great stress and are mated frequently to keep up a constant supply of ‘pure’ breeds. All that in-breeding causes many health problems. It caused all of Toast’s teeth to rot and they had to be pulled out. So there’s nothing to hold her tongue in. And nothing to stop her from taking over the intertubes with her severe cuteness.
New Zealand designer Karen Walker loved Toast’s story—and style—and that’s how this fabulous fur-monster became the face of her new line of sunglasses. The announcement was made on Instagram: “This season sees KW using a celebrity as the face of the brand for the first time. This gorgeous redhead’s story is a true Cinderella one. She was discovered living in cruel circumstances, rescued, and quickly rocketed to fame thanks to her wonderful looks, charming personality and inimitable sense of humour.”
