These hotels and malls went pink to raise awareness about breast cancer

October is breast cancer awareness month and on October 26, a few leading brands across the country went ahead and showed their support towards the cause.

As part of Illuminations, Ogaan Cancer Foundation’s annual ELLE Breast Cancer campaign event, leading hotel chains and public places like malls went pink. Phoenix Marketcity, Mumbai, featured a towering art installation of over 25 feet – an elephant encrusted with 1 lakh crystals, conceptualised by Gauri Khan – was lit up in pink. Taj City Centre, Gurugram, dished out sumptuous food in hues of pink.

The Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai, lit up the stunning property façade in pink and elevated the interiors with pink floral decor, while the Taj Palace, New Delhi served mouth-watering desserts such as rose rasgulla and cherry gateaux and also added pink florals to enhance its ambiance. Meanwhile, The Taj West End, Bengaluru, also lit up its property in pink and also whipped up treats like pink-coloured cupcakes.

In various cities like Coimbatore, Bengaluru, Jodhpur, Raipur, etc, The Park Hotels added a touch of pink to their décor and illuminated their hallways in that shade.

Let this serve as a reminder for you to get screened and tested for breast cancer and encourage the women in your life to do the same.
