Hyderabad-based label Tilang-Andhri is committed to working closely with weavers across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to bring us elegant weaves in cotton and silk.
This weekend you can find it in Mumbai. Expect a neat edit of Uppada, Pochampally ikat, Mangalagiri, Venkatagiri and traditional South silks. The ikat saris are the kind of pretty incentives that will carry you through a dreary Monday, and the silks can be filed under festive wear. (PS: Every piece is one-of-a-kind.)
You might even be tempted to walk away with a scarf or two – they’re hand-painted by Kalamkari artists in Tilang-Andhri’s designs, and are available in cotton, tussar and khadi silk versions.
