A robin egg blue colour box tied together with luxurious white satin. An iconic case encompassing a girl’s best friend—diamonds. The combination of both doesn’t take much to know that it’s Tiffany & Co. With the luxury brand’s impact on fashion and pop culture today, it’s no surprise that Tiffany has mastered the act of choosing radical and relatable women as its face. For its latest ‘Give Me The T’ campaign, actresses Anya Taylor-Joy and Tracee Ellis Ross, alongside skier and model Eileen Gu have joined the opulent jeweller’s powerful roster of ambassadors. The trio star in three vignettes obliquely centred around the letter T for the new Tiffany T1 jewellery line.
Keeping intricate craftsmanship and self-expression at the forefront, the collection reimagines the iconic ‘T’ logo and is dedicated to ‘inner strength and individuality.’ Donning the striking pavé diamonds in bold forms, the three trailblazing women lend the jewellery a new, contemporary meaning. Think rose gold bracelets, T-shaped rings, chokers and circular pendants in 18k white gold iterations, round brilliant and baguette diamonds.
The new brand ambassadors also harbour a natural affinity and love for Tiffany & Co.’s inventory of impressive jewels. And for Ross, the iconic brand holds a sentimental value. “Growing up, I would often wander through the flagship store on Fifth Avenue (New York), imagining myself as a grown woman wearing the bold elegance of Tiffany’s signature diamonds. All these years later, to be the face of this iconic brand and to represent the T1 collection is a dream come true,” she shared in a press statement.
On the other hand, Taylor-Joy’s fondness for Tiffany was evident at the 2021 SAG awards, where she wore $800,000 worth of jewellery from the brand. The actress of The Queen’s Gambit fame confessed, “I love jewellery that has symbolism in it. It doesn’t necessarily have to mean anything to anybody else, but I like to look down at my fingers and have a story.”
Eileen Gu expressed her inclination for pieces that are empowering, inspiring and strike a balance between elegance, simplicity and boldness. Gu, who is 17-years-old will make her Olympic debut for China in freestyle skiing at the 2022 Winter Olympic Games in Beijing.
Shot by Mario Sorrenti in New York, the campaign showcases Tiffany’s signature collection through a pared-down, contemporary lens. Whether you desire to own a stack of rings like Taylor-Joy or simply incline towards investing in a statement piece, the new collection is bound to add just the right sparkle to your jewellery box.
The collection is available at Tiffany & Co. in The Chanakya, New Delhi.
