Technical surface textures triumphed on Day 2 at Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week. Anand Bhushan took molecular inspiration and turned it into a pearl-studded crop top and skirt set - who knew a tryst with chemistry could be so pretty? Fierce and powerful, Nachiket Barve's boxy swing jacket and pencil skirt wowed with intricate, touchy-feely Maori-inspired embellishment. Rimzim Dadu took a mannish route to her signature tactile texture experiments - granddaddy trousers were paired with a fuzzy coat and woven creepers; unexpected but so right. In the collection titled 'Paranoia Pronia', Kallol Datta made fashion meet art - a poplin t-shirt was emblazoned with blotted ink and worn with corporate-meets-school-uniform trousers. In Woolmark winner Rahul Mishra's collection, flawless symmetrical wool embroidery was boss; Mishra's monochrome jacket proves that it's the details that count.
