Top 5: Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week – Day Three
Our favourite looks
Day three of Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week saw designers reinvent Indian weaves. Gaurav Jai Gupta showcased garments made from silk yarn woven with metal - the bustier paired with a striped midi skirt and turquoise cardigan were standout pieces, as was the white and gold dress with striped embroidery by Dev R Nil. At Arjun Saluja's highly anticipated show, models strode out in asymmetrical leather jackets with zip details, but it was the printed cocoon jacket that made him worth the wait. For brides looking for a bit of an edge, Pia Pauro's Fall/Winter line was full of punk-rock-meets-boho-chic options with a heavy dose Scottish highlander. But it was the last show of the day, courtesy Abraham & Thakore, that made us want to clear out our wishlists and start all over. It's safe to say the designer duo has brought animal prints and mobile pouches back from fashion exile. Come winter, we will be queuing outside their store for the sublime tussar silk trench coat.
