Two new dessert haunts to hit

The dessert scene in India is constantly evolving – just yesterday we were Instagramming red velvet macarons and now we’re Snapchatting nitrogen ice cream. We’re always on the lookout for decadent desserts for that perfect happy ending to our meals. There’s good news! Papacream in Churchgate and Toshin in Chembur are two new additions to Mumbai’s list of innovative dessert outlets. Here’s why they’re worth a bite.

Papacream

Papacream brings savoury ice cream to Mumbai with a vast array of flavours including Thai sushi ice cream and cheddar pepper and jalapeno ice cream with spiced nachos – all flash frozen with liquid nitrogen. If you’re not looking to experiment and still need your sugar fix, they whip up a mean Horlicks ice cream with mini Nutella pancake rolls and a Cereal Killer ice cream with cereal and milk – nostalgia on a plate!

Papacream Shop no 18, Cambatta Building (Eros), J.T Road, Churchgate, Mumbai. Tel: 022 6517 7272

Toshin

Chef Toshin Shetty launches his artisanal patisserie, Toshin with a menu that covers macarons to cookies and hand-crafted pralines. With macarons that melt in your mouth with a single bite and soft and fluffy cakes, Toshin delivers desserts that are fresh with a touch of Shetty’s worldly patisserie experience. Give their hazelnut macaron a shot.
