Valentino has opened its largest flagship yet and it’s located – where else? – on New York’s Fifth Avenue. Spread over 20,000 sq ft, the boutique has men’s and women’s ready-to-wear, along with an accessories atrium. The white and grey enclave, with a 27-foot-high ceiling, houses handbags, shoes, eyewear and belts, as well as the new Camubutterfly line and the Zodiac finger clutches, which are exclusive to the boutique.
The store has been designed by creative directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli, in collaboration with architect David Chipperfield, to create a palazzo-like atmosphere.
Here’s another bit of trivia – the Italian brand has set a rent record in the city, paying somewhere between $2,600 and $3,000 per square foot! We definitely recommend a visit on your next trip to the Big Apple.
