Just when you thought that the Lungi Dance craze was over and ready to be buried six feet under… Along comes Deepika Padukone, resurrecting the ghost of Honey Singh’s past. The premiere night of her big ticket Hollywood debut xXx: Return of Xander Cage witnessed stars coming out in droves, including co-star Vin Diesel who sportingly allowed himself to be dressed in a lungi while Honey Singh blared from the speakers. Because well, who can say no to this face?
The lead couple arrived in Mumbai on Jan 12, where the movie is hitting screens a week before its global release date. A smitten Vin Diesel raved, “I was waiting for an opportunity to come to India. It was this queen here, this angel. It is such a blessing that she is in my life. Such a blessing to have someone in my life who is such a beautiful soul.”
Anybody willing to bet that given ten minutes more, Vin would have gladly donned an anarkali and recreated the Deewani Mastani dance too?
