Delhi-based designer Aneeth Arora’s F/W ’16 line borrows from Pippi Longstocking – that quirky-cute character created by Swedish author Astrid Lindgren in 1945. (Though she really became a household name in America only in 1969, with the introduction of the TV series.) Two things set her apart: her trademark pigtails and the fact that she never wore a set of matching socks. The new line, moja péro, is Arora’s sweet tribute to that character. Expect a set of not two, but three mismatched, knee-length socks. The cotton socks come with stripes, checks and cute-as-a-button hearts.
You can shop for a set, worth Rs 4,500, by emailing the péro studio: perobyaneetharora@gmail.com
