WIFW: 10 best moments from day 3
It was all about the details – on and off the runway

Anupamaa by Anupama Dayal
While the designer kept her clothes breezy, colourful and beach appropriate, what really caught our eye were the feet. Models walked barefoot – well, except for the piece of colourful cloth they had tied around their feet for a sole-less thong look.

Celeb sightings
Day 3 belonged to the celebs – we spotted Neha Dhupia and Huma Qureshi on the front row for Ashish N Soni and Masaba Gupta, while Aditi Rao Hydari and Sania Mirza walked the ramp for Payal Singhal and Ritu Pande respectively.

Sanchita
Sanchita, bling and sportswear go hand-in-hand. But this time, the designer kept the sparkle off her clothes, and used it on accessories instead – the shoes and eye masks were brilliant little touches.

ELLE Café: Street style contest
It’s a good week to be Shreya Kalra – we loved her style on Day 1, and on Day 2, she won our on-going street style contest. You can vote for your favourite looks on ELLE Street.

Sneha Arora
Floral for spring isn’t groundbreaking. But that didn’t stop Sneha Arora from using it in her latest colletion – she just reinterpreted in her own way. Prints of bottles with single stalk flowers really stood out for us.

Nachiket Barve
Nachiket Barve’s minimal jewellery balanced the flowy silhouettes and embroidered panels of his garments. Although the acrylic cuffs and rings were stark, they didn’t fail to make an impression. The jute and wooden shoes made in-house went hand-in-hand with the desert colours of the collection and we hope the designer plans of selling those – we will like to have a pair or two in our wardrobe.

Tanvi Kedia
Chocolates are always a good idea so when Tanvi Kedia gave fudge as frow presents – we lapped it up (in our defense, it was lunch hour!). And the colourful suitcase shaped box that it came in was just the kind of detail that we love.

#SNEye
Shivan & Narresh’s collection didn’t end on the runway. Pre-show, the designer duo went digital with the #SNEye campaign, photographing friends of the brand – who posed with a fabric eye (an element from their collection) – and posting it on social media. Press releases were also revamped at their show – forget the average one-page printout introducing the collection; Shivan & Narresh published an eight-page bulletin with details on their inspiration, the making of the collection, the history of the brand and the silhouettes, the colours and prints of the SS15 line, and quotes from the designers. If anyone had any questions about the music or make-up at the show, they only had to glance at the bulletin.

Payal Pratap
Traditional bunting is all about colour, but Payal Pratap likes to mix the traditional and the new. Her stall window covered in white, minimal bunting was festive in a grown-up and cool, understated way.
