WIFW: 10 best moments from Day 5
A look at what made the last day of WIFW so memorable

Christian Louboutin
While models strutted down the runway in his shoes at Rohit Bal, celebrity shoemaker Christian Louboutin sat in the front row, taking pictures of the designer’s collection on his phone.

Arjun Rampal
Bollywood’s perennial hunk Arjun Rampal closed WIFW, as he took to the ramp for his friend Rohit Bal, reminding us why the ex-model was on top of the game in the ’90s.

Monica Dogra
The singer mixed edgy and ethnic dressed in a leather lehenga and body jewellery, to close Annaikka by Kanika Saluja’s show.

Neeta Bhargava
The designer showcased a collection of easy silhouettes in a muted palette of whites, blues and greys. Models walked the ramp carrying birdcages, which held the miniature versions of their outfits.

Rohit Bal went back in time, replacing the jewelled maang tikka with clusters of blood-red roses as hair accoutrements. The look set the mood of a romantic bygone era.

ELLE Café: Street-style winner
In the final round of our street-style contest at ELLE Café, Jhalak Mittal won the most votes for her quirky style.

Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week’s spring/summer edition ended with a bang – quite expected when couturier Rohit Bal is in charge of closing the week. But the rest of the day didn’t disappoint either (there might have been a few cringe-worthy moments, but lets concentrate on the highs). Click through for a look at what we loved on the final day at WIFW.
Rohit Bal
Rohit Bal’s finale show was the kind of spectacle you’d expect from the designer – from stunning silk thread work embroidery and quilted lehengas to Shubha Mudgal’s live performance and the chandelier-lit ramp. But nothing could beat the fabulous choice of location – the moonlit Quli Khan tomb and the Qutub Minar provided the backdrop for the opulent spring/summer show.

Nida Mahmood
Nida Mahmood didn’t venture far from her eclectic style with kitschy printed shirts, saris and dresses. But it was the socks, with teapot appliqué and soles instead of regular shoes, that really stood out for us.
