You need to try Indigo Deli’s new ‘Comfort Kitchen’

Indigo Deli has firmly established itself as the go-to place in the city for comfort food. Whether it’s with their generous Philly cheese steak (oozing BBQ sauce and cheddar on a crisp spelt roll) or the creamy baked macaroni and cheese, their classics can be trusted to make meal times better.

Taking their love for homestyle cooking forward, they launched a monthly chef’s table series called Comfort Kitchen. At this month’s edition – the Midsummer Night’s Feast – expect a five course dinner handcrafted by chef Jaydeep Mukherjee which marries fresh produce and surprising flavour profiles.

On the menu are green cashew tikkas with tamarind pepper drizzle, jackfruit fritters and chilled summer fruits and vegetables, a main course that combines buttery seared Andaman sea bass with kairi curry and jamun pilaf. Plus, there are desserts you simply have to get seconds of: mango burn cream, summer fruits eton mess and jackfruit pie. Remember to wear your stretchy pants!

Comfort Kitchen takes place on April 29 at Indigo Deli, Palladium Mall, Lower Parel. Reservations are first come, first serve; email: marketing@degustibus.com. The meal is priced at Rs 2,000, and Rs 3,000 (with alcohol) per person.
