Calvin Klein announces its new gender-neutral fragrance, ck2

After the iconic CK One (launched in 1994), Calvin Klein announced the global release of ck2 – a new gender-neutral perfume. The youthful fragrance comes in the wake of many gender-blurring and androgyny-championing movements.

It has top notes of wasabi, mandarin and violet leaf absolute, followed by mid notes that remind you of wet cobblestones and rose, and it has a lasting whiff of vetiver, incense and sandalwood. What we really love? The pill-shaped bottle, which rests upside down in the cap.

The campaign, shot by American photographer Ryan McGinley in Puerto Rico, captures the mood of the fragrance perfectly. Watch, and wait! Then wait some more.

ck2 will launch worldwide in February 2016
