Begin Your Mornings With These Celebrity-Approved Drinks

Ever wondered why wellness experts prescribe drinking juices in the morning? When you wake up your stomach is empty, which means that these health drinks will directly go into your intestine and the nutrients will be very efficiently absorbed. However, if you do pair these raw fruit or vegetable juices with a meal, they stay in the stomach longer and often ferment, leading to indigestion. So, if you’re looking for some vitamin-rich fruit and veggie combos to introduce in your diet, check out our list of celebrity-approved versions…

Malaika Arora

The actor and model recently posted a video of her vitamin C-rich morning drink, which includes a variety of healthy veggies like amla, fresh turmeric, ginger root mixed with some apple cider vinegar and some peppercorns. These work in sync to give her an immunity boost and glowing skin.

Samantha Akkineni

The Oh! Baby actor follows a three-step drink regimen to stay healthy. She starts her day with some antioxidant-rich apple cider vinegar mixed with water to promote digestion. Then comes a detoxifying pure wheatgrass juice to cleanse her liver. She finishes off with a collagen shot to hydrate skin.

Kourtney Kardashian

The Keeping Up with The Kardashians star whips up an immunity boosting-blend of lemon and ginger juice in the AM to get maximum digestive and cleansing benefits.

Anushka Sharma

The actor’s skin always has a megawatt glow and she begins her day with what looks like a turmeric and water paste. Turmeric is packed with anti-bacterial powers and soothes skin inside out. Next, she has a glass of lukewarm lemon water to flush out toxins from her body. She then drinks alkaline water to maintain the pH level of her body (read: neutralizing acids) and boost metabolism.

Bipasha Basu Singh Grover

If there’s anyone who’s #fitnessgoals, it’s Bipasha Basu Singh Grover. The actor often drops health tips on Instagram, and if there’s one piece of advice we’re definitely taking it’s her immunity-boosting drink. Take half a cup of turmeric powder and fennel seeds each, four tablespoons of coriander and cumin seeds, two tablespoons of dry ginger powder and black pepper, one teaspoon of ground cinnamon, and 10-12 pods of cardamoms. Roast and grind everything except the turmeric and ginger powder—add them at the end. She then has a spoonful of this spice mix with a glass of warm water every morning.
