Five Of Bella Hadid’s Recent Archival Looks We’re Loving

Bella Hadid

After almost a decade of modelling, Bella Hadid decided to take a break, going back to the slow-life on a ranch in Texas. And post that much-needed refuelling, she’s back, and how. From her celebrated outings at Cannes to Orebella’s launch parties, her choice of treading down the archival route is setting a benchmark that’s one to beat.

I mean, what is it about Bella Hadid that the fashion world finds so endearing? Simple, she’s easily one of the best dressed women on the planet and has found a stylist that knows, and I mean ‘really knows’ her fashion ABCs well. Here’s looking at you, Molly Dickson.

Let’s glance through at some recent fashion moments of Bella’s that we can’t get enough of.

Bella Hadid is well known for being a fan of Galliano, but last week, she strayed (a little) from his archives in favour of a vintage Zuhair Murad ensemble. The empire waist was emphasised by a fringed ribbon with the triangle top and layered skirt adorned with purple and beige floral beadwork. Whimsigoth girlies approve.

Christian Dior by John Galliano circa 2003. Name a more iconic duo, we’re waiting. This minimal noir number was her armour of choice for an Orebella campaign and ranks high on our list because of its stunning make and finely gathered details. The boho curls and dainty red pendant are welcome add-ons that blend in with the siren vibe Bella Hadid so fervently frequents.

Might get flak for saying this, but she looks like she’s stepped out of a big-budget (Farida Jalal mandatory) KJO movie. This Atelier Versace F/W 1998 backless gown is an ethereal addition to her roster of pieces and boasts of an endearing yesteryear charm with the subtlety and inclusion of the flowy cape. 10/10.

Here, Bella Hadid was lensed in a stunning Versace bustier dress at the L’Amour Ouf premiere with dangling Chopard diamond earrings. The dress is from the brand’s SS 2001 couture collection, and somehow fits right into 2024’s style forecast-the cinched waist, the plunging neckline and drop waist detailing, so so chic.

Spotlight on Gucci’s SS 2005 collection that included this champagne-coloured masterpiece featuring immaculate criss-cross paneling and exquisite drapery. The sleek hairstyle added a lot of flair alongside the subtle glam, but the Chopard gems were clearly running the show. And she is the new Chopard ambassador after all. Talk about foreshadowing.
