The 2024 Cannes film festival is underway and while fashion has taken centre stage, it is incomplete without major glam moments on the red carpet— from heavy eyeliner looks on Bella Hadid, Rahi Chadda, Taylor Hill, Shahana Goswami and more, to a blue smokey eye on Aishwarya Rai to match her eye-catching blue and silver Falguni and Shane Peacock gown and 70’s disco glam on Sobhita Dhulipala matching her shimmery metallic purple bodysuit with electric purple eyeshadow and untamed yet structured curls, we’ve got major beauty moments to discuss.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is no stranger to the Cannes Film Festival red carpets. The Miss World 1994 has consistently turned heads with her sartorial choices from the infamous purple lipstick to this year’s eye-catching blue and silver gown designed by Falguni and Shane Peacock. The actor chose to accentuate her eyes with an electric blue smokey eyeshadow and dark eyeliner to complement her ensemble. While the the consensus on the gown is out, her eye makeup is spot on.

As the first brown male ambassador for Dior Beauty, Rahi Chadda walked his first-ever Cannes red carpet on opening night in a monochrome YSL suit perfectly encapsulating gothic chic with a very strong smokey eye completing his look.

Bella Hadid

Bella Hadid arrived at Cannes and somehow managed to top her 2021 Cannes Schiaparelli Haute Couture look designed by Daniel Roseberry, the one covered by a gold-dipped necklace in the shape of the bronchi passageway of the lungs, adorned with rhinestones. This time, she wore the naked dresses to end all naked dresses—a sheer brown-coloured Saint Laurent ensemble that left very little to the imagination. In terms of beauty, she leaned into old Hollywood glam, wearing her brown hair parted to the side in loose waves and she accentuated her gorgeous light greenish-blue sunflower eyes with dark black eyeliner.
