Hours after Cardi B’s rep confirmed to Page Six that she filed for divorce from Offset, Cardi made her own announcement: She is pregnant with her third child.
She alluded to the breakup, writing on Instagram, “With every ending comes a new beginning!” She then shared a message to her future child, saying, “I am so grateful to have shared this season with you, you have brought me more love, more life and most of all renewed my power! Reminded me that I can have it all! You’ve reminded me that I never have to choose between life, love, and my passion! I love you so much and can not wait for you to witness what you helped me accomplish, what you pushed me to do! It’s so much easier taking life’s twists, turns and test laying down, but you, your brother and your sister have shown me why it’s worth it to push through!”

Page Six reported that Cardi is seeking primary custody of her children with Offset. They currently have a 5-year-old daughter, Kulture, and 2-year-old son, Wave.
A source familiar with the situation between Cardi and Offset told Page Six that “they’ve grown apart. That’s what drove her to this decision more than anything else. This is something she wants to do.”
Cardi and Offset have been on-off since 2016. They got married in September 2017, only for Cardi to file divorce papers in 2020 after the couple’s sometimes public ups and downs.
They ended up reconciling. In December 2023, Cardi announced she and Offset had separated again. They later spent Valentine’s Day together.
With so much history, Cardi intends for this breakup to stick, Page Six was told.
