Celebrity Brides Who Wore Designers Besides Sabysachi For Their Big Day

Brides didn't wear sabyasachi

Aloha, to all Sabyasachi aficionados, my not-so-flattering candour may come out as gibberish to you, so we recommend skipping it altogether (no hard feelings, we promise). We do love ourselves a Sabyasachi bride, my god, the work is absolutely gorgeous but lately, we see that celebrity brides are willing to take a chance on other designers as well. And it was very interesting to see. Here’s a lowdown at the new celebrity brides and who they are trusting to design their wedding outfits.

1. Shibani Dandekar

Farhan Akhtar recently tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend, Shibani Dandekar. Not only did she skip Sabyasachi altogether, but her modish sartorial choices have almost certainly made headlines. Going down the unconventional route, she donned a red lehenga with a corset-like blouse made from special French Chantilly lace and capped it with a long veil, the ensemble was custom-designed by Jade by Monica and Karishma and styled by Shaleena Nathani.

2. Karishma Tanna

Red isn’t your colour? Let Karishma Tanna be your inspiration. The model went the extra mile, eschewing the conventional red and opting for an exquisite shell pink ensemble from Falguni & Shane Peacock and styled by Anaita Shroff Adajania.

3. Dia Mirza

Being one of the most groundbreaking weddings of all time, it was also most talked about. You may already know that the actress is a proponent of all things sustainable and environment-friendly, and her wedding was no exception. She opted for a traditional look, wearing a red Banarasi saree from Raw Mango, making simplicity our mantra for our wedding inspo.

4. Yami Gautam

Imagine looking this stunning without having to splurge all your money on designers, an outfit that adds much more significance, value, and love to your big day, and that’s exactly what the actor did. She sported a traditional heirloom red silk saree and we love it.

5. Rhea Kapoor

Red is officially passe and Rhea called it. I mean it would be a shame to expect anything less thanfrom this fashion maven. She opted for an ivory Anamika Khanna lehenga and yes, of course we love it, she looks like an absolute dream.
