I’m a lippie girlie, through and through and my beauty bag is basically overflowing with the best of lip products. Applying a lip gloss or tint is my favourite part of the makeup routine. So, when I heard about the new Bobbi Brown Extra Lip Serum, I just had to try it. My lips deserve all the pampering they can get, right? Plus who doesn’t love some plumping action? I figured it was time to see if this serum would actually live up to the hype or just be another gloss over my lip care routine.
I got my hands on the shade Bare Raspberry, starting with the packaging, it’s sleek and stylish, just like you’d expect from Bobbi Brown. The tube has a classy metallic logo on the cap, adding to its luxe feel. It’s leak-proof and the bendy applicator makes application a breeze. Plus, it’s lightweight, so tossing it in my purse was an easy decision.
Texture and Feel
To be fair, when I saw the tube, I was a little sceptical. I am not a big fan of red lip glosses, and I was afraid of the pigmentation. But it gives my lips just the right flush of colour, almost like a my-lips-but-better look. The Extra Plump Lip Serum is super smooth, and it glides on like a dream. I love that it’s lightweight but still rich enough to feel like it’s doing something. Right after I applied it, my lips felt instantly softer and more hydrated. There isn’t much of that plumping action though. It’s like a mini spa treatment for my lips every time I use it.
What’s Inside
One of the main reasons I was excited to try this serum is because of its stellar ingredients. It’s packed with a nourishing blend of botanical oils and Hyaluronic Acid, which are super hydrating. Knowing I’m applying such high-quality ingredients to my lips makes me feel like I’m truly taking care of myself.
How I Use It
I also love how versatile this lip serum is. On its own, it gives my lips a fun glossy look, but it also works great over lipstick. When I use it as a base, it helps my lipstick go on smoother and when I use it over lipstick, it adds a lovely sheen without feeling greasy. It’s basically a multi-tasking product. Compared to other lip balms and serums, the Bobbi Brown Extra Lip Serum hits the sweet spot of hydration and comfort.

I really like the new Bobbi Brown Extra Lip Serum. The immediate hydration, long-term benefits, and versatility make it a standout product.
