Q_A-21-scaled

At the ELLE Beauty Weekender presented by Tata CliQ, we are celebrating all things beauty with Dr Kiran Kaur Sethi. A trained integrative Skin and Aesthetic Specialist from Columbia University, she is originally from New York. Currently, she is based in Delhi as the medical director of Isya Aesthetics Clinic. Join us in a rapid-fire with Dr Kiran ahead of the three-day virtual event.

ELLE: Could you give us a fail-proof skincare hack you learnt from your mother?

Dr Kiran Kaur Sethi (KKS): Gently massage Pond’s Cold Cream Cleanser in circular motions on damp skin for 10 minutes once a week. It’s great to get rid of whiteheads!

ELLE: A skincare myth that you hear a lot but is not true?

KKS: Keratin treatments improve hair fall. No! It’s the exact opposite; it can usually worsen hair breakage in the long term resulting in more hair fall.

ELLE: What do you see when you look in the mirror?

KKS: I see a mother, a daughter, a teenager, a doctor, a friend, a student and a mentor.

ELLE: What was the last beauty treatment you had?

KKS: Profilho Skin bio stimulators! I did them for my face and neck this year again (I do these regularly) and haven’t needed much filler this year! My skin is feeling bouncy, supple, fresh and younger, and my topical retinoids are not causing any dryness.

ELLE: The last thing you do before turning off the lights?

KKS: I give my little girl a hug and a kiss and thank god for all the gifts he has given me.
