One of India’s leading style icons and fashion entrepreneurs, she launched her pop up shop in 2012 and a sustainable clothing line, Gur, in 2019. ELLE: What does beauty mean to you personally?
Pernia Qureshi (PQ):To me, beauty means feeling good, emotionally and physically, and then that reflecting in your skin and on your face.
ELLE: A beauty advice your mother gave you?
PQ: To drink three glasses of water as soon as I wake up.
ELLE: One makeup product you cannot live without?
PQ:Lip balm. Dry lips really bother me.
ELLE: What’s the craziest thing you’ve done in the name of beauty?
PQ:I went to a dermat to get my dark circles removed because I wanted to be able to not ever have to wear makeup. Let’s just say it was a scam and went very badly!
