ELLE: What does beauty mean to you?
Sandhya Shekar (SS): Being unapologetically yourself and comfortable in your skin.
ELLE: A beauty advice you would give to your 16-year-old self?
SS: Don’t use the frost brown lipstick shade or the stark brown lip liner!
ELLE: What are your thoughts on genderless beauty?
SS: I think beauty is one thing that cannot be defined by any kind of boundaries. You just have to let it flow. We see more people expressing themselves so freely, which I think truly is beautiful and liberating.
ELLE: One beauty product you cannot live without.
SS: Eyebrow gel.
ELLE: Your beauty obsession?
SS: Sunscreen forever!
