Emily In Paris Season 4 Is The Iced Latte Of Rom Coms And Here Are The Best Moments So Far

Emily In Paris

Puis-je avoir votre attention! The Olympics might be over, but our entertainment from men competing in Paris isn’t. Everyone’s favourite romantically challenged marketing executive, Miss Emily Cooper (played by Lily Collins), is back in season four (part one) of Emily in Paris.

Once again, her life serves all the drama you were waiting for. From straight-out-of-magazine-cover European boyfriends, a boss lady who screams office siren from all angles to a job that pays well to buy couture, messy ex-girlfriends, and what not.

As my title already says, watching the show feels like enjoying an iced latte because look at the similarities: both are quite aesthetic and pretty to look at, both are sweet without any serious drama, and both are basic or, as you can say in Emily in Paris reference, ‘ringarde’ (justice for Mr. Pierre Cadault).

My expectations from Emily in Paris Season 4 weren’t really high after the third season ended with Camille (played by Camille Rabat) scrapping her wedding with Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) by disclosing his long-term romance with Emily and her attempts to break them up in front of friends, family, and Emily’s boyfriend Alfie (played by Lucien Laviscount).

Looking back at past seasons, does this show really have to make sense? The answer is a big NO. As an audience member and a person with a 9 to 5 job, I already have so much on my plate that watching Emily do her silly antics is corny but easy on the eye. A silly story with hot people? Yes, please. Let me enjoy the cringe show in peace. (You can all judge me)

TV & FILM GIFs — Fuck it! I am in love with Nate Jacobs and he is...

It appears that the only thing that keeps things interesting is to switch around Emily’s romantic triangle with her boring finance boyfriend and her hot chef lover who has an annoying ex-girlfriend. (Team Gabriel, BTW)

Spoilers Ahead

The episodes roll out with iconic Parisian places on the screen with a French version of Heart of Glass playing in the background and characters questioning if they are Haute enough or not. Part one of season four is flooded with pop culture and fashion show references with a hint of comedy over the current French political scenario. Without saying much, here are some of the best moments from season four so far:

Polin Reference

Calling all the Polin fans ‘cause this moment from the masquerade party was surely the highlight for me. Also, not Emily and Gabriel almost recreating the scene!

Team Gabriel Finally Wins?

Hang this on the Louvre! Sorry, Alfie. After the painful wait of three seasons, Emily and Gabriel are officially dating. The Normandy-born chef and Miss Chicago are seen dancing at a party, holding hands on their silly dates. (Adorable) But something gives me a hint that they might break up before season five.

The Fashion

This season of Emily In Paris can be considered as Emily’s wardrobe’s redemption arc. Earlier this month, Marylin Fitoussi, the designer behind the show, said, “I think people will be surprised by this new vision of French fashion exhibited by Emily Cooper. It’s sexy; it’s malicious.” And it’s fair to say she didn’t lie because Emily was one of the best-dressed characters of the season.

Mindy Standing Up For Herself

She is an icon; she is a legend. Mindy really said ‘don’t test me’ this season. Our upcoming Eurovision star not only made Nicolous realise how wrong his father was but also indirectly helped Slyvie to get back at JVMA.

Camilie Becoming The New Villain

I had already predicted this. Camille is not pregnant, but what shocked me is that for the first time, you will catch her going grey. New villain in the house?
