Love it or hate it, we all love the drama happening in Emily Copper’s life played by Lilly Collins. Whether it’s her overdramatic work life or her completely messed up love life, Emily’s Parisian rendezvous had everyone in a chokehold over the past two seasons. While Emily is a clear winner in the love department and clearly has all the hot boys on the show wrapped around her finger, (both Gabriel AND Alfie, are you kidding me?). But when it comes to fashion, the french fashionistas Camille and Sylvie have her beat. Can we just appreciate how sleek and stylish they looked while constantly putting Emily in her place? The classic monochrome and minimal looks they donned made us a fan of the less-is-more theory.
Emily’s fashion choices were always questionable, just like her french. We saw her trying hard to fit it with the beret, then she tried even harder to stand out with her campy choices—none of them quite landed. As eternal optimists and serious fans of fashion-centric shows, we’re hoping that will change in the upcoming season 3. Last night, Netflix released new stills from season 3—and from the looks of it, Emily is about to create chaos by blending y2k with classic Parisian chic.
