From Baby Reindeer’s anticipated sweep at the Emmys 2024 to Shogun and The Bear establishing their dominance as well, the night-out for these celebrities brought forth an outstanding display of coveted artistry, heartfelt anecdotes and of course, lots of scintillating fashion.
While the jury may still be out regarding The Bear’s inclusion in the comedy category (I still don’t get it), what we’re harbouring zero skepticism towards, is the amount of effort put in by male celebrities, in terms of fashion at the Emmys 2024. It’s elevated and I couldn’t be happier. Women served, per usual with Selena Gomez, Saoirse Ronan and Meryl Streep turning out to be the frontrunners.
Here’s the best dressed list for the Emmys 2024, in our humble opinion.
Jennifer Aniston
Hi Jen, it’s been a while. We’ve missed you. The strapless, ornately embroidered gown by Oscar de la Renta is hinting at a glorious comeback (not that she needs one, to be honest) but we’re all ears to know what she has in store for 2025.
Selena Gomez
Selena opted for a floor-sweeping Ralph Lauren number featuring a bejeweled halter neck detailing. Here’s to solving murders the glam way.
Mindy Kaling
Repping ’em Indian genes the right way! Mindy Kaling from The Office fame donned a signature Gaurav Gupta creation for Emmys 2024 with a sleek, middle-parting on the mane grounds.
Meryl Streep
Love me a pink power suit, especially if worn by Meryl Streep. The legend was lensed in a loosely tailored all-pink creation and a pink bag on the carpet-but it’s the bow that wins all the laurels in my opinion. Very demure, very mindful, very cutesy.
Andrew Scott
Mr. Andrew Scott, you’ll always be my hot priest. The dark brown suit and ’20s inspired slick hair adds to his seductive mystique with the ruffles on his shirt giving Venetian smuggler (a hot one, nevertheless), and that’s reason enough why he should star in an erotic period drama. The curled lapels are a cool addition as well!
Saoirse Ronan
Irish treasure Saoirse Ronan stunned in a navy blue top and skirt duo featuring a sheer cowl-like insert, lending an ephemeral quality to the ensemble as a whole. The diamond choker was a wise choice, given the understated minimalism of the outfit.
Jonathan Bailey
Soon to star in the Jurassic universe alongside Scar Jo, Jonathan Bailey successfully trampled the ‘white men don’t know how to dress’ allegations with his exquisitely tailored suit. The blush hued silk shirt, the brooch and the loose pants easily take the cake here. And I’m surprisingly not icked out by the tinted sunglasses on the Emmys 2024 red carpet. That’s rare.
Sofía Vergara
Dolce & Gabbana it is, for THEE Sofía Vergara. The fine ruched detail at the bodice of the gown offers ample insight into the maison’s commitment to sartorial perfection, with Vergara coming in handy to elevate its aura altogether.
Dan Levy
Mr. Dan, this is good. It’s giving volume, it’s giving thought, it’s giving I’m not a basic b*itch and will not be labelled otherwise. Kudos to the chicness he brought to the Emmys 2024 red carpet.
