6 Florence Pugh Red Carpet Looks That Are The Right Amount Of Princess And Punk

Florence Pugh

Whenever we think of Florence Pugh, which is pretty often these days, adjectives like talent, bold, and unafraid spring to the mind. Academy Award-nominated Florence Pugh has cemented her position as a force to reckon with, both on-screen and off-screen. Over the years, we have seen her evolve as an actress whose character choices are unexpected and leave an indelible mark. Be it playing a character from a period drama like Amy March of Little Women to a Marvel superhero like Yelena of Black Widow,  her movie choices cut across genres.

Along with her impressive acting abilities, Florence Pugh also delivers with her red carpet looks. The British actress understands her assignments quite well. The confidence and style she displays at her press meet or the runway front rows has won her legions of fans. Her red carpet appearances are something very much princessy (apt to her upcoming character Princess Irulan from Dune 2) yet have a right dash of punk in them, showcased with her shoe choices or elevated hairstyles. During this latest fashion week in Paris, the actress donned an ethereal gown at the Valentino autumn/winter 2023 couture show with a buzz-cut hairstyle.

Recently she has been dominating every fashion enthusiast’s explore page with her media looks for her much-anticipated movie Oppenheimer’s promotions. Which is all set to release worldwide this weekend. However, the planned promotions for this Christopher Nolan movie have been cancelled in solidarity with the ongoing 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike.

To honour Florence Pugh’s impeccable style, we have listed down some of her most note-worthy red-carpet moments in recent years:

1. Oppenheimer UK Premiere

Pugh donned this Valentino Couture gown in a dark burnt orange hue, which is a smart reference to the Oppenheimer poster colour palette. This cut-out gown was backed by a long, trained skirt. Her hair colour matched the outfit. As Gen Z would say, a serve!

2. Oppenheimer London premiere

For the London premiere, she choose a structured, sleek denim blazer dress by Moschino Jeans styled with a pair of pointed Amina Muaddi white stilettos and minimal jewelry from Tiffany and Co.

3. Valentino AW23 Show, Paris

Earlier this March at Valentino’s Fall/Winter 2023 runway show, Florence Pugh ditched her layered outfits for a fully translucent sequin skirt and a matching blouse.

4. Valentino AW22 Haute Couture Show, Rome

Oppenheimer might be competing with Barbie this Friday but Florence had already embraced the Barbie pink last year in this sheer chiffon dramatic gown. This outfit of hers became a hot topic  tons of body shaming comments aimed at the star which she later addresses in a post on her Instagram, writing:Grow up. Respect people. Respect bodies. Respect all women. Respect humans. Life will get a whole lot easier, I promise. And all because of two cute little nipples….’ Hear, hear!

5. Met Gala 2023

The Little Women actress arrived at the Met with Valentino’s creative director, Pier Paolo Piccioli, wearing a classic white ball gown with a plunging neckline with a backless design, which were brought together by an exaggerated little black tulle bow. Her look was also adorned with a towering headpiece topped with black feathers and plenty of diamond jewellery from Tiffany & Co.

6. Don’t Worry Darling Premiere, Venice Film Festival

Adding a little sparkle to the list is this dazzling black Valentino chiffon look of hers which had some off-shoulder drama going on. She styled it with a short step-back blonde bob. 10/10 for sure.
