Glazed Blush Is The Hottest Makeup Trend That’s Going To Be Everywhere This Year

The inclination towards all things dewy has meant that matte finishes have taken a backseat. 2023 saw glazed skin, glazed nails and even glazed hair. The latest addition to the multiverse of glaze is glazed blush.

It was only a matter of time before the sheen got to our blushes too. Glazed blush is all about radiance coupled with a healthy flush of colour. As opposed to a blurry and matte finish, blush in 2024 will be all about the shine and glaze. Instead of layering a blush and a highlighter separately, glazed blush requires you to either use a liquid, dewy blush with soft shimmering particles or mix your liquid blush with your liquid highlighter for a luminous effect. Cream and liquid blushes are your best bet for the glazed blush trend since their texture promises you a glowy finish.

Here are a few of our favourite duos and products to help you ace this trend.

Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush in Grateful and Positive Light Liquid Luminizer in Enchant

Glazed blush

Is it even a blush trend without Rare Beauty? This trend caught my eye when I watched a reel of the Soft Pinch Liquid Blush and the Positive Light Liquid Luminizer being mixed and creating this pigmented, shiny liquid. With the Rare Beauty Blushes, a little goes a long way since they pack some heavy pigment. Grateful is a bold red hue while Enchant is a soft, baby pink—when mixed you get a shimmering red blush that lights up your face.

Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Light Wand in Pinkgasm

Every makeup lover’s favourite cult product, if you’ve used the Pinkgasm Beauty Light Wand from Charlotte Tilbury, you know exactly why it’s always sold out everywhere you go. This was one of the very first blush-highlighter hybrids that hit the shelves and has been going off those same shelves ever since. Pinkgasm is a peachy-pink colour that comes infused with shining particles. Its creamy formula imparts a soft sheen, perfect for the glazed blush trend.

Benefit Cosmetics Gogo Tint and High Beam Liquid Highlighter

While Benetint may be everybody’s favourite, I’m always going to be a Gogo Tint girlie all thanks to its bright, cherry hue. While it looks like a striking red, upon application it has a natural colour. A dab of the Gogo Tint with the High Beam Liquid Highlighter is a dreamy blend, which is a pink-toned highlighter.

Chanel Lip and Cheek Balm

An IT girl favourite, the Chanel Lip and Cheek Balm is an ultra-dewy balm that imparts the healthiest flush of colour upon application. Like usual cream blushes, this one features a creamy formula too, however, what sets it apart is the slight sheen it gives. If you want to hop on the glazed blush bandwagon without any tones of shimmer, this hydrating lip and cheek balm is your best bet.

NARS The Multiple Stick in G-Spot

Renowned for their blushes, NARS has been hitting the right spot with every one of them. The Multiple Stick in G-Spot is a perfect example of this. Cheeky name aside, this product is a versatile one that can be used on the eyes, cheek, lips and even the body. G-Spot is a rich, gold-infused rose which doesn’t just add colour but also warmth to the finished look.

If you’re a fan of Nudies, you’re going to love its upgraded version with the Matte + Glow Core blush. This is an innovative product with an outer core that is a dewy blush and an inner core which is a subtle highlighter. The combination of these two adds some luminous dimension to the cheeks, giving you a fresh face. Rose glow is a dusty pink colour with a white-toned highlighter and this duo is the answer to a lit-from-within glow.
