Here’s Everything That Went Down On Day Two Of The ELLE Carnival


The extravagant ELLE Carnival in Mumbai was one for the books. Phoenix Palladium set the stage for a fun-filled day of shopping, music and celebration on the last day of the fest.

From skincare to fashion and everything in between, shoppers had the best of it all. The ELLE Booth was a crowd puller, offering the hottest homegrown labels under one roof, and customers could try on outfits curated consciously by the ELLE’s fashion team.

The panel discussion for the day revolved around the age of micro trends and how good skincare and timeless beauty should be an investment. Beauty experts discussed the major impact of Instagram trends on consumers and brands. Karishma Kewalramani, founder of FAE Beauty, challenged preconceived notions of beauty trends and emphasised these short-lived beauty hacks and the hold of social media on the industry.

Prasenjit Biswas, a celebrity makeup artist, let us in on how working with brides and Bollywood stars led him to experiment with the lens. Debasree Banerjee, beauty influencer and founder of Debasree Beauty shared inputs on the importance of keeping up with social media trends. The panel discussions at ELLE Carnival offered lesser-known, thoughtful insights into the industry.

Stylist Namita Alexander showed the audience how to style some staple pieces and how every body type can pull off an effortless look.

Shoppers could walk into a free styling session at the #ShopWithMe event as influencers like Nupur Singh and Bhavya Krishnan presented their hand-picked looks.
