We’ve wrapped up our second edition of the ELLE Sustainability Awards 2024, presented by Signature Packaged Drinking Water. Set against the backdrop of the Mumbai skyline at The St. Regis Mumbai, the ceremony attracted esteemed luminaries and industry leaders from the realms of fashion, beauty and lifestyle. The event epitomised a glamorous convergence of sustainable ethos, echoing ELLE’s dedication towards a promising and greener future. Keep reading to know everything that unfolded during the event.
A Star-Studded Evening
It was a star-studded affair with celebrities like Raveena Tandon, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Malaika Arora, Genelia Deshmukh and Richa Chadha, among others being felicitated for their efforts towards sustainability. Fashion stalwarts like Manish Malhotra and Karishma Swali were also honoured at the event.
An Esteemed Panel Discussion
The event conducted an enlightening panel discussion that aimed at ‘Highlighting successful community-based initiatives in various fields that have positively impacted the environment.’ The panel encompassed esteemed panellists from all walks of life and industry specialists. The panel was mediated by Ishita Mangal and had conducive inputs from Aakash Ranison, Vaishali Shadangule, Malhar Kalambe, and Angelique Dhama.
Signature Pledge Wall
The Signature Pledge Wall was quite a hit among guests. The winners and attendees took pledges that revolved around the essence of living a more sustainable life and hence, making efforts for a greener tomorrow. This was an effective initiative for encouraging people to talk more about being friendly to the environment. From taking pledges for conscious shopping to promising to maintain a compost at home, the attendees engaged with the Signature Pledge Wall in the hope of a better future.
Pepe Jeans Wall
The Pepe Jeans Wall is made for a fun activity to engage with while keeping the notion of sustainability right at the centre of it. Attendees were given mini Pepe denim pockets for writing their thoughts and experiences of sustainable living, which were later stuck to the wall. Attendees wrote quotes like “It’s cool to care” And “Recycle and Recharge” for voicing their opinions on sustainability.
