If there is one thing fashion enthusiasts in India look forward to every season, it is Lakmē Fashion Week in partnership with FDCI – a week full of sparkle, glam, and trendsetting sartorial fashion with the beauty mammoth. It’s a celebration of style like no other. And each year, the Lakmé Fashion Week brings the curtain down with a stunning finale featuring an iconic face while spotlighting a talented designer to bring their collection to life. The finale had ace couturier Bibhu Mohapatra presented by the House Of Lakmē showcasing his collection while the runway came alive as Ananya Panday, Bipasha Basu, Lisa Haydon, Simone Singh, Carol Gracias, Shimona Nath and Kirandeep Chahal strutted down the ramp.

The finale showcased New York-based CFDA Award winner and Indian designer Bibhu Mohapatra’s ‘Come Home’ collection’s monochromatic hues. The show marked Mohapatra’s homecoming after a decade. His work has transcended cultural and geographic barriers over the years. ‘Come Home’ was showcased as a tribute to House of Lakmē’s numerous muses. Iconic women who have represented Lakmē throughout these glorious years, including Ananya Panday, Lisa Haydon, Bipasha Basu, Vipasha Agarwal, Simone Singh, and Carol Gracias, Shimona Nath and Kirandeep Chahal.

Gen Z glam icon Ananya Panday was dressed in a crowd-favourite black blazer dress with a cinched waist. Her striking, fierce look was completed with upturned, glittering, smokey eyes, deep side-parted hair pulled back with a gold clip, along with winged eyeliner, mascara, darker brows, rouge on the cheeks, and caramel lips.

Supermodel and Bollywood actress Lisa Haydon turned heads with her pearl-white silk-satin skirt and sleeveless shirt. Her look was accentuated with a glowing highlighter, feathery brows, nude lips, sleek, gelled-back open hair, winged eyeliner, and shimmering eyes.

A mould-breaker, Bipasha Basu, had the audience mesmerised in a rich crimson-coloured gown with a flowing silhouette. She opted for side-parted open hair, smokey gold eye makeup, bold mascara on the lashes, nude lip tint, and plenty of highlighter.

The OG supermodel Carol Gracias donned a straight-cut sheer black and white layered piece with 3D embellishments. Her look featured bold eyes, sculpted cheeks, nude lips, and loose waves in her hair.

Vipasha Agarwal, known for taking over the runway with grace, donned a classic Bibhu LBD adorned with sequins. Her look was enhanced with plenty of bronzer, soft, dewy skin, highlighted inner corners, kohl around the eyes, and a dark metallic lip.

Timeless and elegant, Simone Singh was dressed in a full-sleeved figure-hugging knitted ensemble. Imbuing the mantra of less is more, she opted for a pink smokey eye look complete with a wing, natural glass skin with a flush of colour on her cheek, and a coral, glossy lip.

One of the current muses, Shimona Nath, grabbed all the attention with her bold and enigmatic yellow and black ensemble. Letting her skin do all the talking, her runway look involved pink eyeshadow, arched eyebrows, nude lips, and a smoked-out winged liner.

Kirandeep Chahal was seen strutting down the runway in a princessy flowy gown with a right dash of punk. Her look was smouldering with kohl smudged along her lower lashline, extended to a wing.

While sharing his experience on his successful homecoming show, Mohapatra said, “I could not have been more thrilled to be back after almost a decade and be the closing designer for Lakmē Fashion Week in partnership with FDCI. My ‘Come Home’ collection was a humble effort to honour the iconic muses of Lakmē and the women who have helped shape my life. The show tonight felt nothing short of surreal, and I am incredibly proud of this partnership with Lakmé to mark the launch of the House of Lakmē, unveiling a new era of beauty and fashion, growing from strength to strength in the time to come.”
