Kriti Kharbanda’s Wedding Outfits Are Peak Lover-Girl Coded

Wedding season has this uncanny ability to put into action our multiple personalities. Some of us are all about the emotional montages, while others are here for the yummy delicacies. Me? I’m a sucker for the dress-up game, I mean nothing beats the emotion of swiping through the looks of an Indian bride.

Looking back at so many beautiful weddings this year my fashion brain feels fully fed! So, I thought why not take a moment to take you through one of my favourites from this year – Kriti Kharbanda‘s wedding looks that felt like a fairytale moment. When the pictures dropped back in March, it was giving ‘fairytale, Barbie bride in real life,’ and I’ve been obsessed ever since.

1. Here Comes The Bride

While the OG red bridal lehenga will always have my heart, Kharbhanda proved that vibrant pastel pinks can absolutely steal the show, too. Her custom Anamika Khanna lehenga was the perfect mix of soft romance and a traditional vibe. Intricately detailed and stunning to look at, she looked absolutely breathtaking while walking down that aisle!

2. How Much Tulle Is Too Much Tulle?

Kharbhanda’s sangeet vibe gives off subtle drama, and I’m so here for it. She stepped out in a printed satin gown by Gauri & Nainika, featuring playful tulle volume that screamed main character energy. It was abstract, it was chic, and it was unapologetically fun. Safe to say, this one goes straight into the inspo folder for not just a bride, but literally because I have seen so many abstract dresses since.

3. Corset, But Make It Desi

A corset with a lehenga is one of my favourite takeaways from her wedding looks! Kharbhanda slayed in a white and gold number with intricate floral embroidery that was both regal and fresh. The blend of modern structure and traditional details made it a standout moment—because who says brides can’t do it all?

4. Twirlable Midnight

For another sangeet event, Kharbhanda wore a shimmery blue and silver lehenga that checked all the boxes for a dance-ready outfit. It was lightweight, it was twirlable, and it gave the perfect glow under the lights. Paired with minimal jewellery and her signature glowy makeup, she kept it simple yet stunning.

5. A Brat Chooda?

This one hit straight in the feels. Kharbhanda wore a lime green Ekaya saree, paired with heirloom jewellery that carried so much sentimental value. I love it when someone takes bits and pieces from your legacy, and makes it so much more precious.  I am not surprised, but I think she has mastered the whole fashion-tied-with-traditional-values vibe.

6. An Orange Mehendi

For her mehendi, Kharbhanda brought the drama in a Ridhi Mehra sharara with a fiery orange vibe that was equal parts bold and breezy. The outfit featured a trail and an organza pallu that made every move look regal. But let’s talk details: her pearl-adorned braid was the moment for 2024 brides, while her hathphool, chandbalis, and dainty maang tikka added just the right amount of sparkle. It was fun, fresh, and everything a mehendi look should be.

If weddings are about love, laughter, and breathtaking outfits, then Kharbhanda’s wardrobe is my new blueprint for manifesting main-character energy and we don’t need a man for that, do we?  Now excuse me while I go stare at these pictures and daydream about being the Lover-Girl Coded bride I was born to be.
