Newly appointed Chef Gianfranco brings Italy to Grand Hyatt Mumbai’s Celini

Celini, the Italian speciality restaurant at the Grand Hyatt in Mumbai, has a new chef. Chef Gianfranco Tuttolani, a graduate of the prestigious G.Marchitelli Culinary College in Villa Santa Maria, Chieti, Italy, aspires to use his superior culinary expertise to introduce the flavours of the Abruzzi province to the rest of the globe.

He has received numerous awards and has served as an ambassador on numerous fronts throughout his career. Chef also received a Merit Diploma for an F.I.C. (Italian Chef Federation) and A.C.V.S. recipe (Villa Santa Maria Chef Association).

Chef Gianfranco’s most recent position was as Italian Chef at the Hyatt Regency Chandigarh, where he was named “Chef of the Year,” and his restaurant was named “Best Italian Fine Dining Restaurant in the City” at the Times Food and Nightlife Awards 2019.

He eagerly anticipates his new role as Head Chef of Grand Hyatt Mumbai’s Italian Signature restaurant Celini. “It is a great pleasure to take up my new role as head Chef of Celini at Grand Hyatt Mumbai Hotel and Residences. It will be exciting to implement my skills and knowledge, and bring to the people of Mumbai, authentic and traditional flavours from my home country-Italy.”

Chef Gianfranco’s newly curated menu features signature delicacies like Polenta Millefeuille, Spaghetti Aglio Olio e Peperoncino, Mushroom Ravioli, Caprese and Prosciutto, Ossobuco, Seabass Livornese, and Panna Cotta, among others. Don’t miss Celini’s all-time favourite wood-fired pizzas, pastas, and risotto, which have been a restaurant feature since its inception, teamed with an extensive range of notably refreshing Italian red and white wines.
