Nick Jonas’ Style Is A Sign For Men To Ditch The Boring Black Tuxedos

Nick Jonas

Men In Black – the movie sure is good. But repeatedly seeing men in black tuxedos? On every single red carpet? From Oscars to some pan masala award? Give us a break. Enter Nick Jonas. It like he’s averse to the ordinary. Good for him, great for us.

He’s got the best style, amazing vocals & he seems like a chill dude. We stan. So, if you’re reading this & you’re a man, grab your nearest pen & take notes. And if not, please send this to the men in your life, so they can finally incorporate some colour and personality into their wardrobes.

The one where Nick wore an icy blue leather set with a peculiar detailing at the back. Although it’s tough to crack the symbolism of that pattern, it seems like some abstractism pertaining to animals. Safe yet playfully suave.

The one where Nick wore a heavy-duty tweed-like jacket for The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Icing on the cake was the surprising leather lapel. We love a ‘classics reinterpreted’ moment.

The one where Nick wore a cream coloured satin shirt & I kept rubbing my eyes in disbelief because he’s too beautiful. Too much to process. Spotlight on the rust coloured foliage prints originating from the hem up to the shoulder seam. What a shirt.

The one where Nick wore a top to toe denim look for Remember This Tour. Obviously we are going to remember. This aryle’ish placement of alternating washes of denim, both on the shirt & the pants is certainly a breath of fresh air. Just reiterating here, we will remember.

The one where Nick wore a KJo inspired jacket. The oversized fish-scale-like sequins are surprisingly not too harsh on the eyes and though it’s the previously disgraced all-black look, this one has depth, dimension & detail. Unlike a yawn-inducing plain black tuxedo.

The one where Nick wore a simple red shirt and brown pants and that’s it. He just squashed everyone’s reservations of pairing unconventional colours together. We’re definitely hoping to mix & match these warm colours for some style exploration.

The one where Nick wore a longline coat inscribed with gigantic letters & still managed to look good? What is this sartorial sorcery? When I try doing something on these lines, my friends threaten to sue me for distress? Unfair.

The one where Nick wore a purple satin bomber jacket & we ran straight to our annual day wala dressmaker to get our old costumes back. But seriously, he’s got game & boy does he live up to it.

The one where Nick wore a brown leather jacket and pantaloons straight out of the byzantine era & managed to pull it off? This cowboy meets ex-royal look is all the proof you need, in order to familiarize yourselves with his sartorial prowess.

The one where Nick wore a loungewear inspired striped shirt in a sultry, butter hue. The 4 mini pockets were an understated detail that we’d very much like to see become mainstream. Brownie points for the neck chain. Super adorable.
