A Guide To All The Cameos In Only Murders In The Building Season 4

Only Murders in the Building goes far beyond the building this season as Charles, Mabel, and Oliver head to Hollywood. The trio’s true-crime podcast has caught the eyes of studio execs (those at Paramount Pictures especially), who are keen on turning the audio sensation into a film. So, the unlikely friends jet off to the West Coast for intimidating board room meetings, some In-N-Out, and a glitzy launch party where they mingle with stars, including those who have been cast in their movie. With this chapter set in Los Angeles, there are plenty of opportunities for celebrity cameos; previously reported ones include Eva Longoria, Kumail Nanjiani, Melissa McCarthy, and many more. Of course, OMitB is no stranger to famous guest stars. As the show’s popularity has grown through the years, Amy Schumer, Cara Delevingne, Paul Rudd, and even Meryl Streep have taken part in the series. (And remember when they had Sting?)

But let’s not forget, this is a murder mystery after all, so as star-studded as the ensemble might be, they could turn out to be suspects—or even potential future targets—this season. Right now, the victim is Charles’ body double Sazz Pataki (Jane Lynch), who was shot and killed in his apartment at the end of season 3. As the podcasters try to crack the case, here are some of the famous faces they encounter along the way.

Meryl Streep

The icon and legend herself returns as Loretta Durkin, Oliver’s love interest and now a breakout TV star living in L.A. The Sophie’s ChoiceMamma Mia!, and The Devil Wears Prada star first joined in season 3 as a meek actress cast in Oliver’s musical and protective mother of Dickie, Ben Glenroy’s adopted brother.

Eugene Levy

The Schitt’s Creek and American Pie star plays himself, cast to portray Charles (Steve Martin) in the film adaptation of the podcast. (Do you think it was the glasses?) This marks another collaboration for Levy and Martin, following films like Father of the Bride and Cheaper by the Dozen 2.

Eva Longoria

After returning to TV in Land of Women, the Desperate Housewives alum nabs another television role as herself, cast to play Mabel (Selena Gomez) in the film. She jokes that the character was aged up to make her friendship with Charles and Oliver less “creepy.”

Zach Galifianakis

The Hangover star is also playing himself, cast as Oliver (Martin Short) in the film adaptation. He’s reluctant to keep the part after Oliver doesn’t recognise him.

Molly Shannon

The comedy legend, who has appeared in the likes of SuperstarSaturday Night Live, and Wet Hot American Summer (and let’s not forget her recent turn on The Other Two) is also in this season. She plays Bev Mellon, the Paramount studio exec who meets with Charles, Mabel, and Oliver about turning their podcast into a movie.

Siena Werber and Catherine Cohen

You might recognise Cohen from her comedy special, The Twist…? She’s Gorgeous, or as the co-host of the Seek Treatment with Cat & Pat podcast. Meanwhile, Werber has starred in the Netflix series Brand New Cherry Flavor and The Sympathizer earlier this year. Together, the actors portray twin sisters and directors called The Brothers (that’s their last name), who will helm the Only Murders film.

Jin Ha

Yes, that is Pachinko star Jin Ha, who plays Solomon Baek in the Apple TV+ series, behind all that hair. On OMitB, he plays the screenwriter of the podcast’s film adaptation.
