Ranbir Kapoor’s recent admission that he’s dating Alia Bhatt has left us feeling quite a few things. Shocked, amazed, happy… confused. In an interview to a men’s magazine, Ranbir reveals, “It’s a new person, it comes with new beats. Old tricks become new tricks again — you know, being charming and romantic, all of that. I think I’m more balanced today. I value relationships more. I can appreciate hurt and what it does to a person much more than I could a couple of years back.”
The “couple years back” he’s talking about could be in reference to his less-than-amicable break-up with Katrina Kaif, or the fact that he allegedly cheated on former girlfriend Deepika Padukone. Or was it the drama that kicked up after he broke up with Sonam Kapoor? This leads us to realise — Ranbir Kapoor has dated almost every single top actress in Bollywood today.

1. Sonam Kapoor (2006-2007)
Ranbir and Sonam made their Bollywood debut in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Saawariya, and it was well-known that the on-screen chemistry was a result of their off-screen romance. Unfortunately, the relationship did not end well, given Sonam’s outburst on Koffee with Karan, where she gleefully trashed the Bachna Ae Haseeno actor.
2. Deepika Padukone (2007-2009)
The couple first started dating during the shoot of Bachana Ae Haseeno in 2007 and the relationship lasted for nearly two years. The relationship was quite serious — Deepika even got Ranbir’s initials inked on the nape of her neck. Apart from being open about their relationship, the couple was adored by their fans.
Though the relationship did not last, the duo continued to be the friendliest of exes, even acting opposite each other in films like Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Tamasha.
3. Priyanka Chopra (2010)
While working together on Anjaana Anjaani, the couple was rumoured to be seeing each other. Nothing concrete came out of the alleged link-up, but it surely sent their fans into a tizzy. Ranbir and Priyanka were subsequently cast together in Barfi, but they claimed to only be good friends.
4. Katrina Kaif (2011-2017)
With a six-year-long on and off relationship with Katrina Kaif, the couple admitted to having gone through a very ‘rough time’. Having started their love affair first on the sets of Ajab Prem ki Gazab Kahaani, the couple took things to the point of moving in together. Having spent a major chunk of time together on the sets of Brahmastra, rumours of a new romance have abounded ever since the couple made an appearance together at Sonam Kapoor’s wedding. Finally confirming the rumour and sending the internet into meltdown mode, Ranbir Kapoor stated, “It’s really new right now, and I don’t want to overspeak. It needs time to breathe and it needs space.”
